CIPLE exam dates and how the sittings work
CIPLE runs more often than any other CAPLE exam. There are three international sittings a year — May, July and November — plus additional national dates, and in practice the Lisbon centre ran nine in 2026.
Registration closes weeks before the exam
Registration for each sitting opens roughly two months ahead and closes about three weeks before the exam. Places are limited per centre and the popular sittings do sell out — the Lisbon centre marked its February and March 2026 sittings as full.
You register with CAPLE or with an approved centre, not here. Payment is by card, or by Multibanco reference if you are in Portugal, and it must be completed quickly or the registration lapses.
Results and the certificate
Results are published on CAPLE’s site and the certificate follows at your exam centre. Allow roughly two months from the exam to the result, and a little longer for the paper certificate.
Certificates have no expiry date.
